Rhine View Stash

Schon die Fahrt den Rhein hinauf war wie Urlaub, wir ließen uns Zeit und gönnten uns eine Flussquerung per Fähre.
Even driving up the Rhine was like beeing on a vacation. We took our time and had fun using a ferry to cross the river.

Der richtige Hügel war schnell gefunden, nur wo sollten wir das Auto lassen? Wir beschlossen, bis in das nächste Dorf zu fahren und nach einigen Irrfahrten fanden wir dort auch einen zwischen Altersheim und Zugtrasse gelegenen freien Platz. Der Weg bis zum Hügel war ekelhaft. Wir mussten die Schnellstraße entlanglaufen, wobei es keinen Streifen für Fußgänger gab. Also quetschten wir uns auf dem dürren Streifen Rasen zwischen Straße und Bahndamm entlang. Entsprechend froh waren wir, als wir endlich eine Bahn-Unterführung erreichten und am Fuß des Hügels standen...     weiter

Soon we found the hill - but where should we park the car? We decided to drive to the next village and after some cruising around we found some space between an old people's home and the railroad. The way from the car to the hill was ugly. We had to walk along the express road, which didn't have trails for pedestrians. So we used the tiny bit of grass between road and railroad. We were happy, when we reached an underpass of the railway and finally stood at the foot of the hill...     continue
